Food Drive at the MSK, November 19th

This Saturday November 19th, Mooresville Soup Kitchen is having a food drive and they need your help! Last year over 10,400 pounds of food were donated and sorted in one day—join us as we fill the shelves this year!

When: Saturday, November 19th, 9:30 – 4:00 pm
Where: Mooresville Soup Kitchen, 275 South Broad Street

Help sort, box and store food at the Mooresville Soup Kitchen as part of the upcoming food drive. This opportunity is for adults (high school senior or older). Lunch and snacks will be provided.

MCM Thanksgiving Day 5K Turkey Trot

Mooresville Christian Mission is planning its first Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot, Thursday November 24th. The event is meant to provide an opportunity for us to give thanks for the things we have by helping those in need in our community.

They are in need of a volunteer team the day of the event. If you would like to participate please utilize their
online sign ups (click here) to volunteer for different tasks the day of the race. Needs are as follows:

Set Up
Registration
T-Shirt Table
Food
Course
Water Stop
Start/Finish Line
Lead Biker
Take Down/Clean Up

All volunteers should be a minimum of 15 years of age (we have modified our course age restrictions). There are no age restrictions for our water stop volunteers. Registration to participate in the event as a runner/walker, is now also available directly on the Mission's website (
www.mooresvillechristianmission.org) as well.

Give Back Boutique Volunteers Needed

If you have a degree, or experience, in retail management, The Give Back Boutique would love to get you involved. Volunteers are needed for management shifts to assist with the day to day operations of The Give Back Boutique.  

The boutique supports Mooresville Christian Mission, and what makes this shop unique is that 100% of proceeds go to serve families in our community, especially those with children. Money raised helps to fund Crisis Assistance Programs helping families in danger of hunger or homelessness.

Volunteers Needed: Mailing Stuffings Mooresville Christian Mission

Mooresville Christian Mission is getting reading for their Annual Giving Campaign which includes a direct mail effort to approximately 5,300 of our volunteers, supporters and members of our community.

In preparation for that mailing, we are asking your help to stuff 500-1,000 (as many as you think you or your group can handle) materials. The mailing will include a letter, brochure and envelope. 

Materials requested back for mailing: Friday, November 11th
You are welcome to work at The Mission or to pick up the materials and return them the following the day if it is more convenient for you.
