Honduras
The Cove works with Pastor Israel Gonzales and the Christian Community of Honduras. Pastor Israel leads a group of fifteen pastors who serve in their small mountain communities near Siguatepeque.
- Shoeboxes. Each year at Christmas at The Cove, the Cove community packs and sends shoeboxes full of small gifts and personal items to children in Honduras. During Christmas of 2010 alone, over 1500 shoeboxes were collected! A Cove team travels to Honduras each spring to help deliver these shoeboxes as they share the love of Christ with Honduran families.
- Stoves & Medical Clinic. Cove teams also travel to Honduras to build and install smokeless stoves, which provide better air quality and lower wood usage for families in need. Teams also work with Christian Community of Honduras on the completion of a new local medical clinic that will provide medical treatment to the mountain villages of Central Honduras.
- Pastor Training. Cove pastoral staff works to train, encourage and equip local Honduran pastors through pastor training retreats and seminars.
